Common Types and Working Principles
Cam Rotor Pump: Its structure includes components such as the pump body, rotor, and cam, and it is usually manufactured from food-grade materials like stainless steel. During operation, relying on the rotational motion of the cam, the rotor is driven to rotate inside the pump body. The chamber between the rotor and the pump body changes periodically as the rotor rotates, thereby sucking in and discharging the materials. It can handle food materials with high viscosity, containing particles, or being corrosive.
Screw Pump: It is mainly composed of a screw and a bushing. The screw rotates inside the bushing, forming a series of sealed chambers. When the screw rotates, the chambers move axially, thus conveying the materials from the suction end to the discharge end. It is suitable for conveying materials with high viscosity and low Reynolds number. During the conveying process, the shearing force on the materials is relatively small, which can well maintain the original state of the minced meat.
Parallel Displacement Conveyor Pump: It works through the close cooperation between a pair of screw rotors and the pump body. The specially designed screw rotor system moves relatively inside the cavity, forming a series of dynamic parallel spaces that are sealed by spatial curved surfaces and do not directly contact each other. As the screw rotates, the meshing and separating movements continuously repeat from the front end to the rear end. The fluid is continuously sucked in at the suction end and smoothly discharged along the direction of the screw axis.
Features
Hygiene and Safety: Most of the components in contact with the minced meat are made of materials such as food-grade stainless steel, which meets food hygiene standards. The surface is smooth, there are no sanitary dead corners, and it is easy to clean and disinfect, which can prevent material residues and the growth of bacteria.
Stable Conveying: It can provide a stable flow rate and pressure, ensuring the uniform and continuous conveying of the minced meat. This helps to improve the stability and consistency of the pet food production process and guarantees the product quality.
Strong Self-priming Ability: It can automatically suck in materials during startup without the need for additional vacuum pumping equipment, reducing the complexity and cost of the equipment and improving production efficiency.
Low Shearing Force: During the conveying process, the shearing force on the minced meat is relatively small, which can maintain the particle integrity and texture of the minced meat and will not overly damage the structure of the minced meat. It is suitable for the conveying of minced meat for pet food that contains meat chunks or particles.
